More Christmas!

I have to get the rest of the Christmas ideas in before at least Christmas Eve!! Goodness... I'm slacking. Well here are a few more! :)

These are simple DIY Christmas crafts if you have left-over ornaments after decorating your tree!

The first is just a foam circle from a craft store with different sized ornaments hot glued on!

The second is simply ornaments glued to magnets on the fridge!

The bottom two are pictures of how my mom decorated her lovely dining room and staircase! Hope you like!

Christmas Time!

My mom should be an interior decorator; she's so amazing. Here are some pictures of her lovely house at Christmas time.

The first one is very simple and very cute. She purchased children's Christmas socks at the dollar store to put on the "feet" of her kitchen table!

The second one is a picture of my brother's dog, Dixie, with a nutcracker! Pretty simple -- painted flower pots!!

Florida Snowman and Snowballs

Here's a cute dessert (and easy to make) for the holidays-- they look like snowballs with a touch of sand and sun!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup margarine, softened

1/2 (16-ounce) package confectioners' sugar

8 ounces vanilla wafers, finely crushed

3 ounces thawed frozen orange juice concentrate

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup flaked coconut

Directions:

Cream the margarine and confectioners' sugar in a mixer bowl until light. Add the cookie crumbs, orange juice concentrate and pecans and mix well. Chill for 1 hour. Shape into bite-sized balls with dampened hands. Roll in coconut, coating well. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Serves 48

Preparation Time: 15 minutes, plus chilling time

**For the snowman, we added a piece of chocolate for the top hat, a piece of candy corn for the nose and chocolate chips for the eyes and buttons. The sand is made out of left over crushed vanilla wafers.
